Bryant Simmons, professionally known as DJ Kozmo, was born on October 15, 1990, in Nicholls Town, North Andros. Driven by ambition and a desire for greater opportunities, he later moved to New Providence, where his journey in music began to take shape. With a lifelong passion for music, DJ Kozmo officially launched his career in 2011, turning his natural love for entertainment into a profession. While working at Atlantis Resort, he remained committed to sharpening his skills, despite facing challenges along the way. His determination was put to the test when he entered the Stoli DJ Competition twice without success. Refusing to give up, DJ Kozmo returned for a third attempt—and won. His victory not only earned him the title but also secured him an internship at the emerging radio station 103.5 The Beat. After completing his one-year internship, he was offered a permanent position, taking over the influential 3 PM “Pickup Mix” slot, where he became a familiar voice for parents and listeners across The Bahamas. As his talent and reputation grew, DJ Kozmo made the bold decision to leave Atlantis and fully dedicate himself to his expanding career. This move gave him the freedom to broaden his reach, performing for diverse audiences both locally and internationally. Today, DJ Kozmo is recognized as one of The Bahamas’ most prominent DJs, known for his skill, versatility, and dedication to his craft.
